Questions before you contact Araya

These are starting answers for families, students, volunteers, mentors, donors and sponsors. They can be adjusted as Araya’s program details are finalised.

Prospective parents and students

Araya supports students from Year 1 to Year 12, especially families in Inala, Richlands, Durack, Forest Lake, Doolandella, Darra and nearby suburbs.

Year 1 to Year 4 students join Children’s Class, Year 5 to Year 8 students join Junior Class, and Year 9 to Year 12 students join Senior Class.

Families choose either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. Children’s Class runs 3:30pm - 5:00pm, Junior Class runs 4:00pm - 5:30pm, and Senior Class runs 5:45pm - 7:15pm.

Yes. Every enrolled student receives IXL access for maths, English and science practice so learning can continue between sessions.

Araya uses child-safe policies, supervision procedures, attendance records, incident reporting and compliance documents. Families can read the Child Safety page and download policy documents from the Policies page.

Volunteers, mentors and donors

Yes. Araya welcomes tutors, activity helpers, drivers, supervisors and organisers. Volunteer roles depend on availability, suitability, child-safe screening and program needs.

Yes. Mentors can share career pathways, life experience, study habits, leadership lessons and encouragement that helps young people see a hopeful future.

Donations can help with books, laptops, tablets, data plans, sport gear, excursions, camps, workshops, transport and practical resources for students who need extra support.

Yes. Sponsors can support student places, learning equipment, sport participation, fuel vouchers, activities, excursions or a tailored community partnership.

Supporters can use the Donate / Sponsor page or the Support Form to register interest as a donor, sponsor, volunteer or mentor.
